Pilgrim Hat Decoration

These are fun and easy enough for the kids to put together.

You'll need:

· Large store bought chocolate cookies
· Reese's peanut butter cups (medium Halloween size)
· Tube of yellow decorator frosting
· One apple for each pilgrim
· Raisins or cloves

Using the frosting as glue, we stick one Reese's cup to the top of the cookie, right side up.

Next, we need to stack another Reese's on top. But the shape of the Reese's fans out too much. So, using a small sharp knife, we will trim off the bell shape, to make it cylindrical. Then using more frosting as glue, we stack the second Reese's onto to the top of the first one.

Using our frosting, we draw a line around the base of the first cup. Then we draw the familiar pilgrim buckle on to the front. Let dry, so the Reese's won't slide off.

Cut a flat surface onto the top of an apple at a slight angle. Using frosting as glue, secure the pilgrim hat to the top of the apple.

You can use raisins or cloves for eyes. Raisins can be held in place with short broken pieces of a toothpick. To use cloves, poke holes with a toothpick, then insert the cloves.

Now you have an adorable pilgrim that you can eat!
